My Feature Film Debut Premieres
My first major feature film has had its world premiere! Phenomenal writer/director’s Nora Unkel's feature debut, A Nightmare Wakes — a retelling of Mary Shelley’s tragic journey creating Frankenstein in which I play Harriet Shelley (Percy Shelley’s first wife, to whom Mary is the ‘other woman’)— is earning rave reviews while playing at Salem Horror Fest!
Named an “endlessly refreshing as a horror-infused biopic” (Rue Morgue) “innovative and starkly beautiful“ (Killer Horror Critic), a “powerful addition to the legacy of Mary Shelley… as good as Jennifer Kent’s sophomore feature Nightingale” (Horrorculturist), “it’s a bold, dark tale befitting Shelley herself.” (Horror Obsessive)
...And I’m mentioned!
“Almost immediately, word is brought to Percy regarding the fate of his wife, Harriet (Shannon Spangler). Harriet has drowned herself while pregnant, and Mary and Percy’s relationship suffers the increasing strain.” (Horror Obsessive)
So excited to see where this feature goes!
You can watch it through this coming weekend at Salem Horror, or find out more about it by keeping up with producers Wild Obscura on their website, or by following them on instagram.
